Caroline joined the Cognitive and Sensory Systems Laboratory (CASSL) after earning her B.S. in Biology from Southern New Hampshire University. Her research interests focus on the neurobiological underpinnings of trauma, with a particular interest in sensory dysfunction, hormonal dysregulation, and biomarker discovery. At CASSL, she is investigating the feasibility of low-frequency pulse-based stimulation to alleviate photosensitivity symptoms in Veterans with a history of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). Caroline has also contributed to research on tinnitus and white matter changes in high-risk Veteran populations. She is especially passionate about the intersection of genetics, neuroendocrinology, and functional outcomes, and plans to pursue a PhD in neuroscience with a focus on translational and systems-level approaches.
