Dr. Jennifer Gustafson is an optometrist, educator, and rehabilitation specialist whose clinical and research interests focus on low vision rehabilitation, vision dysfunction associated with traumatic brain injury, and improving quality of life for individuals with complex visual impairments. As Director of Advanced Low Vision and Blind Rehabilitation and leader of multiple residency and fellowship training programs at VA Boston Healthcare System, she has trained and mentored numerous optometry residents and fellows in low vision, polytrauma, and brain injury rehabilitation. Her work integrates clinical care, education, and research to advance evidence-based approaches for assessing and treating visual dysfunction in Veterans and other individuals with neurological and sensory impairments.
